Obituary of Scott William Stephan

Scott William Stephan, age 67, of Annandale, NJ passed peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, NJ.  Scott was born October 15, 1950 in Toledo, OH. He is the son of the late Allan Stephan and the late June Follett, and the stepson of the late Lillian Word.  He joined hands in marriage with Suzanne Gannone-Stephan on August 9, 1997.  

Scott has resided in the Hunterdon County area for over thirty years. He worked for AT&T in Bedminster for twenty years and just recently retired from International Planning and Research of Waltham MA in 2017 as an Economist.  He graduated with a Masters degree from the University of Washington and a Ph.D. from Columbia University.   In his younger years he taught Economics and Statistics part time at the University of Maryland.  He also published several Economic Articles & was cited in Economic Books.  

Scott's favorite pastimes included sailing, scuba diving, watching his favorite show Jeopardy, Huge Yankees & Giants fan, watching History/War Documentaries, watching old movies, reading, & spending time with his family & friends.

He is survived by his loving wife: Suzanne Gannone-Stephan; brothers:  Allan Stephan and wife Patricia and Todd Stephan and wife Terri; daughters, Melissa and Melanie Gannone; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Crandell and her Husband Mark; Sister In Law, Joanne Ricedorf and brother-in-law, Joseph Dominick, and many nieces & nephews.  Scott was also excited by the news, he was going to be a 1st time Grandfather... He will be greatly missed by his Great Dane “Maggie”

Relatives and friends may gather on Wednesday, September 5, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with a Celebration of Life Service by Chaplain Sister Kathleen Rooney following the memorial visiting, at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. Cremation was held privately.
